EDTA/C chelating agent for facilitating access and widening of root canals in endodontic therapy.
| Composition | Disodium Edetate 150 mg / mL (equivalent to 15% w/v) Cetrimide 8.5 mg / mL ( equivalent to 0.85% w/v) pH adjusted to 7.2 |
| Actions | Chelating solution containing Cetrimide that softens dentine and irrigates root canals during endodontic procedures. Facilitates instrumentation of the root canal. |
| Indications | For all endodontic procedures, particularly useful for the initial instrumentation of fine canals. |
| Contraindications | Not for subcutaneous injection. |
| Precautions | Avoid injecting solution beyond apex of canal. |
| Directions for Use | Transfer solution to a disposable syringe fitted with a small gauge needle. Insert the needle into the root canal until resistance is felt and withdraw about 2mm. Avoid injecting the solution beyond the canal. Inject the solution slowly into the canal to irrigate debris and to chelate the canal walls. |
